Though it was a balmy 40 degrees yesterday in the Twin Cities, it is still hard to believe that something so tiny and seemingly fragile as a Brown Creeper can survive. Several were actually around - and singing - at a local park. You can see the zygodactyl toe arrangement in the third and fourth photos. The very last one shows just how difficult it is to spot these expertly camouflaged little birds.
