Though these were taken earlier this year, very worth posting. Sora are not often seen in full view like this. What a great find. There were two individuals out this day, most unconcerned with anyone watching from the boardwalk.
Wild turkeys in the metro area are not overly concerned with humans. This combined (two females) family wandered around me when I was in a park recently.
Two chicks in the Northern Cardinal nest. Dad came in and fed both. Last two pics show a larger field of view for reference as to where the nest is. Can be viewed from a breakroom.
Got to watch an Eastern Kingbird looking for bugs - on a beach in the metro area, instead of in a field somewhere. The bird also spent time finding and throwing some little twigs, though it never carried them away for nesting.
